About Us

Our Message

Our Minister

Our Minister

Jesus says to love God and your neighbor.

In Williston Methodist Church, the little chapel on the hill in the old town square, we do just as Jesus commands.

Even though we are small in numbers, we are great in our caring and giving.  We give financial and provisional support to our community schools, the fire department, families, other churches and anyone in need in Fayette County, or the world.

We are normal folks with exceptionally large hearts

Our History

Our History

The present land site was donated by Mr. Grant in 1836.  Because he could neither read nor write, no actual deed was recorded until 1859.  In 1836, a small log cabin sanctuary was erected on the site.  It was destroyed by fire in 1911.  Reconstruction began the following year and was completed in 1915.  Services resumed under the pastoral care of the Rec. W. T. Stubblefield.  The Parker Fellowship Hall was added several years later.  The church interior was remodeled in 1963-64.  The newer side panel stained glass windows were added at that time.  The church interior was repainted in 2004.  In 2009, the stained glass window mountings and trim were replaced with Spanish Cedar, and a new roof was put in the Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall.

Sunday's Virtual Sermon

The COVID pandemic has, for the short term, altered the way we worship as a community.

While we are complying with all Church and government guidelines, please join us for our virtual sermons that will be posted here.

All of our prior sermons can be viewed from here.

We pray the Lord's blessings on each and everyone, and pray that He keeps you healthy as we move beyond this situation.

Our Inaugural Virtual Sermon

Stay safe and healthy everyone!

"Fear not, for I am with you;

be not dismayed, for I am your God;

I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous hand."

(Isiah 41:10)
